What would you like help with?

You don’t need to know the difference between a vinyasa and a body scan. Tell us how you’d like to feel and we’ll point you to the right place to begin.

Two practices

Most people find one that feels like theirs.

Yoga Nidra

A guided meditation you do lying down, somewhere between waking and sleep. Mine is shaped by iRest, an evidence-based approach that helps the body let go of stress.

  • For tired-but-wired evenings
  • For racing minds and 3am wake-ups
  • For anyone who finds sitting still hard

On the mat · gentle movement

Yoga

Slow, kind, whole-person yoga for strength, balance and an easier back. We work with the body you have today, at any age.

  • For stiff backs and busy shoulders
  • For complete beginners
  • For staying strong into your 60s and beyond

Curious about both? Yoga Foundations ends with a gentle introduction to Yoga Nidra, so you can feel the difference for yourself.

Why Susan

Hello, I’m Susan.

At 18 I was already stressed, with migraines and a stammer. My mum took me to my first yoga class. In my forties, burnt out, I found my way back. Now in my 60s I feel younger, stronger and calmer than ever.

I teach the way I wish someone had taught me: gently, practically, and with the whole person in mind. Whether we practise live or you follow a recording, I’m always a message away.

How a recorded programme works

Four weeks, eight stages, at your own pace.

  1. Choose a programme

Pick by how you’d like to feel: rested, calmer, stronger or simply started.

  2. Follow eight stages

Each stage has a short video or audio practice from me, plus simple notes.

  3. Two new stages a week

Practise when it suits you: early morning, lunch break or in bed at night.

  4. Six months to revisit

Return to any stage as often as you like, then renew at a lower price if you’d like longer.

Prefer to practise live? The Sunday evening Yoga Nidra course runs all year on Zoom, one eight-week course after another, and you can join a single session whenever it suits you.

Kind words

From students, in their own words

“Thank you so much for what I reckon could well be the most transformative meditation I have ever experienced!”

Sue P Abingdon, 2021 Yoga Nidra course

“Such a treat to settle down on a Sunday evening for an hour dedicated to resting and rejuvenating my mind and body in the comfort of my own home.”

Maggie 2021 Yoga Nidra course

“If you need to unplug, zen out, reconnect with nature and kick off your Yoga Nidra journey then book in! Mull is beautifully calming.”

Gillian Australia, 2019 Yoga Nidra retreat

Live or recorded

Whichever suits you. Both are here.

Some people love the company of a live class. Others prefer to practise when the house is quiet. Neither is a step up from the other.
